Night out!

This last weekend Brad and I went out to dinner with Stan and Kristie. We love those guys. We always have so much fun when we're together. Kristie wanted to get out one more time before Bailee is born. I feel so lucky that 2 of our very best friends are also in our family:) Love you two!

Husband tag

I've seen this tag on a few different blogs, and I wanted to steal it!

How did you meet your signifigant other? Answer all the questions honestly and re post as "How I met _"

1. Where did you meet?

We met when he was a sophmore and I was in ninth grade. I was going out with one of his friends.

2. Do you remember what he/she was wearing?

I don't remember, but I assume he was wearing basketball shorts and a t-shirt (it's what he wears about 75% of the time:)

3. What was the first thought that went through your head when you met?

I remember thinking he seemed really nice, and I thought he was cute

4. Where was the first time you kissed this person?

We had just gone on a walk, and he had to leave for work so he was dropping me off at my apartment. He leaned in and kissed me:)

5. Where did you go on your first date?

My little brother was in a play that night, so we went to Carl's Jr. then went to the play.

6. How long did you know this person before you became a couple?

We'd known eachother for quite a few years, but we got together about 5 months after he got home from his mission

7. How did he/she ask you out?

Hmm, thats a hard one. We hung out every night for like 6 weeks, then we went to memory grove to listen to general conference, and he held my hand. So we never really dated before we were a couple.

8. Has this person ever proposed to you?

Yep:)

9. Do you and this person have kids together?

Not yet, unless you consider our dog and cat

10. Have you ever broken the law with this person?

Not that I can think of

11. When was the first time you realized you liked this person?

I think I always liked him, but the first time I really realized it was the first time he came to our apartment. He walked in, and my heart started pounding, and I broke out in hives:) I knew I was in trouble.

12. Do you get along with his/her family?

Yes, I do!

13. Do you trust this person?

Of course I do!

14. Do you see him/her as your partner in the future?

Yep, I get him for eternity:)

15. What is the best gift he/she ever gave you?

My wedding ring

16. What is the one thing that he/she does that gets on your nerves?

When I'm kinda cranky, or emotional he thinks it's hilarious to press my buttons and try to annoy me. When I'm already upset, it definately doesn't help:)

17. Where do you see eachother 15 years from now?

Hopefully in our dream house with 3 or 4 kids.

18. What causes the most arguments?

Honestly, both of us are pretty laid back, so we don't really ever argue

19. How long have you been together?

Almost 5 years

20. Are you married?

Yes, for almost 4 and a half years

21. Who do you tag?

Carolyn, and who ever wants to do it!

Thanksgiving:)

Thanksgiving was awesome this year. Kinda crazy, with the going to both families, but we wouldn't ever do it any different. First, we went to Brad's families, then to my parents. It was an awesome day with as you can see LOTS of good food, and even better company!

Brad was doing his yearly tradition of making the mashed potatoes:)

Stan was very proud of the turkey, it was the first year he'd done it all by himself

A few of the things I'm greatful for:)

With thanksgiving just a few days away, I've been thinking alot about all the things I have in my life to be thankful for. I'm very blessed!

First and foremost I am greatful for my wonderful husband. Brad is my rock. He is absolutely the biggest blessing in my life, and I don't know if I can put into words how much he means to me. It's kindof funny, when we first met I was still in junior high, and our group of friends would do things together once in a while so I've had the pleasure of knowing Brad for a long time. Brad was pretty shy with girls, so we never really talked all that much- but I was always drawn to him, and I felt a weird connection to him. I think the lord was trying to prepare me for my future husband. I can honestly say I am the luckiest woman in the world. I look forward to spending forever with my very best friend. I love you baby!

My family is one of the greatest blessings I have in my life. I not only have one amazing family, but two. Both our families are incredibly close, and we have the opportunity to see both of them at least a few times a month. My parents taught me everything I know. The good qualities that I posess come from them. They taught me to love the lord, and that family is the most important thing. My brothers and sisters, and Brad's brother and sisters are my very best friends. That doesn't come along very often:)

For those of you who don't know, Brad and I are involved with a company called Nouveau Riche. How blessed we are to have the opportunity to work with these amazing people, and have the chance to change our lives, and the lives of our family. The past year and a half that we've been involved with Nouveau, have honestly been the hardest times that I've had in my life. I wouldn't trade it for the world though. I feel like I have grown so much as a person and I know I'll never be the same.

I have always been very blessed to have amazing friends. I have had the same group of friends for about ten years. These girls ( you know who you are) are more like family then friends. Man, we've been through alot of stuff together, and over the years have all gone off and done different things with our lives, but have always stayed close, and I know we always will. I love you guys!

Last but definately not least is the gospel. I am so greatful for the chance that I have to be a member of the church and continually have the opportunity to have my testimony grow. I think about where my life would be without the church- and I just can't imagine it.

I hope I haven't babbled on for too long- I just wanted to have it in writing, so on my down days, I can go back and look at how many things I have to be thankful for:) Happy thanksgiving everyone!

Halloween!

Brad and I had a heck of a time finding costumes the day after halloween. We went to like 6 different places trying to find something creative. O well, I think we turned out all right.

We all voted for the best costume, Can won.

Sarah was a ballerina. It was funny, we had a few toddlers at the party, and one of them kept coming up to Sarah and looking up her skirt. I thought it was way cute:)

Okay, almost a month late I know, but since we just got our internet fixed, I wanted to post them anyway:) Savannah had a party at her house- we had lots of fun. Unfortunatly being the braniac that I am, I didn't start taking pictures till everybody had started leaving, and some had already taken off their costumes. Here's the very few pictures that I did take.

I'm back!

And Brad and I. We had lots of fun, thanks everybody for coming:)

Sad story

Okay, some of you already know this, but I wanted to post about it anyway. Brad went yesterday morning to play football. My sister and her husband that live in Provo were down for the weekend, so we were all sleeping over at my moms house. My brother Danny and brother in law Jon were going to go with Brad, but he got up and got ready and neither one of them really stirred, so he left without them. They got up a little later and went on their own. A few hours later Danny walked into the house and said, "Uh Liz, there's a problem. Brad got hurt and he doesn't remember anything." Surprisingly, I stayed pretty calm. I called our friend Jacob and got some details, then we took him to the hospital. I guess what happened is he went to tackle someone, and the kid tried to jump over Brad, and his knee knocked into Brad's jaw, and knocked him out. He was out for a few minutes. On the way to the hospital, he just kept asking the same questions over and over, because as soon as I would finish answering, he would forget. It was pretty scary. Now that it's all over, we can joke about it. We were laughing, telling him he was like 10 second Tom from 50 first dates. He remembered all of us, but he had no clue as to what had happened in the last month or so. He had a CT scan of his head, and they said it was a pretty bad concussion with some mild amnesia, but luckily no trama to his brain or internal bleeding. As of today, his memories are still kinda hazy, but things are starting to come back. He doesn't remember anything that happened yesterday, but the doctor said that was pretty normal- and that he might not ever remember it. I'm so greatful he's okay, and I know it could have been a lot worse. Needless to say, I don't think I'm going to let him go play ball for awhile:)

Brad's birthday

Brad's birthday was yesterday. He woke up and went to play paint ball- I was invited, but I'd rather not do something that will cause welts all over my body:) He had a lot of fun though, and can't wait to go again. Later on we went to rodizios grill. Yum!!! They have the best food, we had a lot of fun and Brad had a great day. Happy birthday babe! I love you!

Bear Lake

We had so much fun!!!

Here's Brad in the lake

Here we are at the entrance to the camp site where we stayed.

Brad and I had the chance last weekend to go up to bear lake. I had never been there, and Brad went quite a few years ago for scout camp, so we were excited to go. We left on Friday evening and planned to stay until Monday, but we got rained out, so ended up leaving on Sunday night. We had so much fun though, and are greatful we had the chance to go! It was nice to have some alone time with my hubbie:) We plan on going back there often.

Anika spent the summer with her mom, but she starts school next week so she's back! It's crazy, she was only gone for a few months, but she seems so grown up! I've missed her smile, her hugs, and her constant singing:) I love you Anika, we're so happy you're home!
